blueButler
provides secure remote access to corporate voice network facilities
allowing mobile workers and teleworkers to make long distance and
international calls at inexpensive corporate rates. Unlike the traditional
DISA (Direct Inward System Access) feature found on PBXs, blueButler
provides a much more secure access method that is not prone
to toll-fraud hacking.
By calling into the corporate network,
employees can avoid the administrative time and effort involved
in being reimbursed for business calls made on their personal residential
line or mobile phone. All calls are now local calls that blueButler
bridges to the remote number using corporate facilities. Another
benefit is that these call charges are allocated appropriately using
existing call accounting systems.
Calls that are bridged through
blueButler can also be easily recorded as MP3 files that
are pushed to the user's email account. This makes it incredibly
easy for mobile workers and teleworkers to forward information gathered
during phone conversations to other employees.
